It just seems as though the MX-780 cannot (correctly) send those codes?!? mxf file, which were learned from the OEM remote, and they also do not work on the MX-780 (the remote shows activity when they are sent), though they still work fine from the MX-850! As a point of reference, other codes that were learned to the MX-850 from an OEM remote, and then imported to the MX-780 via the Universal Browser (such as the Yamaha RX-V571 Stereo/Mono button), work fine on the MX-780, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the UB. I have also used the Universal Browser to import those codes from my MX-850. None of the codes in the database will operate those functions. That includes buttons with identical or similar names, as well as all other buttons. I have tried all of the buttons for each device code. But, I have tried all of the device codes listed for Sony in the DVD group.

However, the player does respond just fine to those codes, which I learned to the MX-850 from the OEM remote of an earlier Sony BD (or DVD) player I no longer remember which one*.īUT, I cannot get any codes to operate those player functions from the MX-780! The DVD device code 368, for Sony BDP-S5100, doesn't have those codes. The OEM remote which came with it (Sony RMT-B119A) does not have two of my most used buttons: Replay and Advance (well, actually, Replay is a most-used button Advance not so much). I have a Sony BDP-BX510 (also known as BDP-S5100) BD player. Okay, I just wanted to get that out of the way first. The CCP software is much better than, in fact sort of an advanced version of, the MX-850 standalone editor with which I am quite familiar, so that is not an issue. Long story short, I am happily programming the new remote. The dealer quoted a price to which I agreed, and he also agreed to supply the CCP software, after he first called URC to ensure that it was okay to do so. Hopefully G.Skill will clean up the UI and fix the various issues with the software at some point. So, I contacted the Canadian distributor for URC, who supplied me with the name of a local dealer. But it is developing problems with some of the buttons, and it was time for a new remote.

I've used an MX-850 for many years, having programmed it myself with the standalone editor software. (00) Where are these *default* (TPL) MMIO values coming from ? ( 2) In any case, knowing how to download the Canon PIXMA MG2522 driver can avoid some basic printing issues. It can be set to as high as 5 mm if you want, but I would recommend leaving it at the stock value if it works fine. The default lift-off distance is low enough it didn't track from one DVD in height (roughly 1.2 mm) at the default setting on a black cloth mouse pad. The polling rate can be set to 125, 250, 500, and 1000 Hz. The CPI-changer can cycle through five stages at most, but you can lower the values of these in the software. The resolution can be changed from 100–8,200 CPI in increments of 100 CPI. Most manufacturers choose the better optical sensors because, well, they are better in almost every aspect. Since the ADNS-A9500 and A9800, the VCSEL mouse sensor technology hasn't really been moving forward. The MX-900 is a good remote, but lacks critical buttons like RGYB and a record button. I think its at the right price point if you look around on ebay though. Compared to a modern, high-end optical sensor, like the PMW3360, its values are significantly lower. The MX-780 is one of the newer remotes and looks nice, but it has a color LCD screen instead of the larger monochrome screen of the MX-900. The nominal maximum tracking speed and acceleration values are 150 IPS and 30 G. This sensor has its flaws, and unfortunately, it can malfunction quite easily with a fast swipe. The G.SKILL Ripjaws MX780 uses a high-end laser sensor, the ADNS-A9800 formerly made by Avago (now PixArt).
